Tanzania quote guide
What should a Tanzania safari vehicle-and-driver quote include?
A useful quote does more than show a daily figure. It connects the route, exact vehicle, driver responsibilities, included costs, exclusions and change terms to the same written request.
SafariHub is in public beta. Preview vehicles, drivers, prices and availability are examples until they are confirmed for a specific request.

Quick answer
A complete quote should define the whole service
Ask for the itinerary, vehicle, driver role, fuel and distance assumptions, park-related charges, driver expenses, taxes, payment schedule, cancellation terms and replacement process in one written document. Mark every item as included, excluded, estimated or still to be confirmed.
Give every quote the same trip brief
Quotes cannot be compared when providers are using different routes or group assumptions. Start with one written brief and send the same version to each provider.
- Travel dates, pickup and final drop-off
- Every overnight stop and planned park or area
- Adults, children, bags and specialist equipment
- Accessibility, child-seat and language needs
Identify the vehicle and driver arrangement
The quote should say whether it describes a category or an exact vehicle, and whether the person driving is providing transport only, safari driving or a driver-guide service.
- Vehicle category, seating layout and luggage space
- When the exact vehicle can be confirmed
- Driver role, working language and route responsibilities
- Backup process if the driver or vehicle changes
Separate every included and excluded cost
A headline rate is only useful when its assumptions are visible. Ask for each cost category to be listed rather than relying on a broad claim that a package is all-inclusive.
- Vehicle, driver, fuel, mileage or hour limits
- Park, conservation, road, ferry or border charges
- Driver accommodation, meals and overnight expenses
- Airport transfers, taxes, waiting time and optional services
Record payment, cancellation and change terms
The quote should explain what becomes binding, when payments are due and what happens if the route, dates, vehicle or traveler count changes.
- Deposit, balance date, currency and accepted payment method
- Cancellation, refund and no-show terms
- Route, date, traveler or accommodation changes
- Breakdown, substitution and emergency contact process
Compare totals using the same assumptions
Put the written quotes side by side only after every provider has answered the same questions. Separate confirmed figures from estimates and note how long each offer remains valid.
- Total amount and currency
- Confirmed, estimated and excluded line items
- Taxes and fees already included in the total
- Quote expiry date and outstanding confirmations
Tanzania safari quote questions
Is a driver-guide always included with a safari vehicle?
No. A vehicle with driver may cover transport, safari driving or a broader driver-guide role. The quote should name the role, working language and responsibilities for the proposed route.
Are park and conservation fees always included?
No. Treatment of park, conservation, road, ferry and border charges varies. Ask the quote to list each category as included, excluded, estimated or payable separately.
Does a quote confirm the exact vehicle?
Only when the document identifies the exact vehicle or clearly states when it will be assigned. A category name or promotional photo alone does not confirm the arriving vehicle.
Is the lowest daily price the best comparison?
Not necessarily. Compare the complete route, vehicle, driver role, limits, fees and change terms. A lower headline figure may exclude items that appear in another total.

Start with the route, passenger space, exact vehicle and the driver’s responsibilities.
